BIMTech Engineering is a virtual 3-D modelling company that specialises in producing fully co-ordinated, clash-detected mechanical , electrical and public health service drawings for the construction and infrastructure sectors.
In providing MEP services and producing MEP drawings, we work as an integrated, pro-active team, engaging with our clients to help at both the conceptual and construction-status stages of a project.
To optimise 3-D virtual model production, we assess safe access, equipment interface, operating maintenance requirements, multi-disciplinary co-ordination and alternative product selection.
Our highly experienced in-house technicians use their extensive knowledge of the built environment to deliver co-ordinated models compliant with BIM Level 2 protocols and PAS 1192 requirements for data management.
Integrating with our clients, we challenge and drive information throughout an assignment, ensuring the maximum level of detail is achieved whilst meeting all deadlines.
Our commissions are from MEP design consultants, MEP contractors, constructors, FM providers, lifecycle management, end users and BIM management companies.
The company was founded in 2005 as M&E Caddesign. Whilst always producing 3D MEP models, there was always restrictions on realising the real benefits, as other disciplines within the industry were either working in 2D or in other formats of 3D with no platform to interact. With the government driven development of building information modelling to become the construction industry standard, M&E Caddesign re-branded to BIMTech Engineering and embraced the opportunity to not only work collaboratively with other design and construction disciplines, but also to embed the model with enriched data to be utilised throughout the life cycle of the project.
BimTech’s growth has been very much dependent on attracting the most talented technicians, whose skills have kept the company at the very forefront of technological developments.
To embrace all emerging technologies for application in the built environment.
To provide a premium service linking concept and design to the needs of installers and operators to achieve construction-standard, co-ordinated information in compliance with Building Information Modelling protocols.
The company’s daily operations are run by Matt McGuire, who has 20 years’ experience of producing MEP construction status information for a wide range of projects of various complexities.
With the change to BIMTech, Matt now has the support of business partners who have significant experience within the construction sector. This covers both operational and commercial aspects of the industry and complements BIMTech as a business whilst at the same time providing organisation skills that give the company stability.
BIMTech has a wealth of knowledge embedded within its team. This includes not only in-depth understanding of the company’s core business of providing MEP services but also the expertise of technicians, modellers and engineers with degrees in architecture and engineering.
Such a wide range of experience allows members of the team to support each other and our clients through an understanding of the construction environment and the application of a considered approach to the co-ordination of MEP disciplines with building structure and fabric.
There is excellent collaboration within BIMTech and this is replicated at client level to ensure solid working bonds between project pre-construction and delivery specialists.
The BIMTech team is made up of self-confessed techno-junkies who thrive on the application of new technology. They are constantly searching for new hardware and software applications to improve the level of information and detail we can provide to our clients. Ever-increasing efficiency and visual clarity are their twin goals.
