COBie compliant data drops

At BIMTech we use COBie compliant data drops as part of our building information modelling and project management services.

COBie gives us the structure for sharing information with a building’s designers and end users. As a building develops, with the help of COBie the information contained in our corresponding 3D model becomes more detailed.

For each stage of the design process, there are RIBA-specified levels of detail that should be contained in the model. This means that all parties can work collaboratively and to the same specification. Through COBie data drops, we ensure that the required details are always incorporated at each stage of the development.
