Accurate plans and information are essential to BIM – but there are times when limited information is available.
Under these circumstances we use 3D laser scanning of an existing building or site. The process creates an incredibly accurate computer model by taking millions of points of data known as a ‘point cloud’. We then join the various point clouds together to create an even bigger cloud of information, which can be used directly to provide us with crucial measurements instantly.
